Match Play Challenge

2007 Travel League Standings

 Match Play Challenge events are team oriented events playing both singles and doubles.

Teams compete for points and a cash pay out.

These events play handicapped match play, doubles in the morning singles in the afternoon. Players also compete in several competitions in both stroke play and match play with chances to earn pay outs in each.

 

 

How it works

 Bring your Team of at least 2 players or Challenge Club Dead on your courses we'll bring a team. $20 per man covers all the pay outs. you can get into other side bets if you want.

 There are several competitions at each event. Doubles teams compete first round for a match win, plus a stroke play payout. In the second round players compete to win their singles match, they also compete for a stroke play payout by division. Teams compete all day for team points with the top teams receiving a payout.

Rules

 The rules are simple. We follow PDGA rules of play for all rounds. The two meter rule is in effect.
  Each hole in a match is worth two points, the team or player with the most points at the end of the round wins the match and ten bonus points.


 


 

 

2008 Events

Club Dead will be hosting a Match Play Challenge event on Sunday April 20th.
The Flint Club will be bringing a team as will several other Clubs. Bring your team and take the Challenge. All you need is at least two players to compete. On April 20th we will be playing two Worlds courses, Meyer Broadway in the morning then Oshtemo in the afternoon.
