February Disc Golf Round Up
1It may be Winter but there’s plenty of disc golf available in the Michiana region, it’s Ice Bowl season. Here’s the round up for the month of February.
Highlighting February tournaments is the first major PDGA points opportunity for 2012 The Cracked Plastic Open. This classic event is on Feb 18-19 this year sign up early or you risk not getting in. Also featured this month on the 25th of February is the next installment of the MIDGC at Rum Village in South Bend IN, MIDGC events play a match play format. So no excuses get out and play.

Area leagues are still going strong throughout the winter, Wednesday evenings you can play Irving park in Battle Creek for Luna’s Glow league. If your not into Winter glow rounds, you can play Saturday mornings with the Cold Brook Institute at Cold Brook for Pro-am doubles or Sunday’s K’Aces winter league at Oshtemo for singles. And don’t forget Our Club Dead Friday’s where we pick the courses for a disc golf adventure. We post the tee times and courses for our Friday adventures here and through our email news list. Wrapping up this month’s roundup here’s a shout out to all you lucky Dogs invited to the annual Blue Gill Super Bowl Festivities enjoy the course the food and the company.
Ace Race Results
0Thanks to everyone who played for another great time at Knollwood! No aces in the first round which made the second round worth $520, which was split 3 ways. An additional 15 players were able to draw discs from the dot pot.
Club Dead Ace Race
0The annual Club Dead Ace Race takes place as usual on Thanksgiving Saturday at Knollwood. That’s Nov 26 this year and we look forward to another great time. Registration begins at 9:30am with tee time for round one scheduled at 10am. Cost as always is $20 plus one new disc or $30 cash. We’ll play two rounds of ace run golf, drives only, followed by a lunch break then an optional doubles. So come on out for a chance to win $$.
